Bartley Sailing Club Closure for Latest Government Lockdown Period (5th November to 2nd December 2020)

Unfortunately the sailing club will have to close from 00.01 Thursday morning for the Government lockdown period which currently runs to 2nd December. There will be no access to the sailing club except for essential maintenance activities during this time. The Government rules and RYA guidance are very clear on the matter and Bartley SC will comply with the requirements to support the NHS as they manage capacity to treat Covid-19 patients.

Rescue crews scheduled for the lockdown period will be rescheduled. Those scheduled 5th December onwards will remain in place unless direction changes nearer the time.

Andrew Simpson Centre Birmingham will also be closed. There will be no access to the water for Bartley SUP or the Bournville Radio Boating group either during this time.

We are as disappointed as you that we have to close for this period but understand the reasons, and as always, thank you for supporting the club as we find a way through the ever changing restrictions that are placed on us.

I am sure the month will pass quickly and we will soon be back out pounding the waves - I look forward to seeing you all then.
