Top Laser sailors are making big improvements
Recently some Laser sailors have been making a real effort to improve and hone their skills.
This has happen by getting on the water and pushing the physical barrier to its limits...
Sailors such as Robin Pitt 200920 and Gary Allcock 198666 have both been getting better and even pulling off the occasion first in the fleet race.
Whilst one of our top fleet leader is off ill with internal rib injury others are making strong waves. Our best regards goes to Jeremy and we wish him a speedy recovery.
Now that winter is upon us and the shortest day approaches why don't you get your boat out of hibernation and come sailing. Saturdays are the best racing days with at least 35+ boats out!!, but remember Sundays and Wednesdays are also good sailing/racing sessions.
So to get the best value for money from your membership at BSC come down and if you are lucky you may be good enough to buy the drinks at the bar !!! come on down and see what you are missing.
In the summer months we were getting 15 Lasers on some days so lets see if we cant beat that this Autumn winter series
We are also running a few briefing sessions (Laser Activate days) to help those who want advice.
The first of these are on Sat 14th at 10.30am
In BSC dinghy park we have 43 Lasers so imagine if 50% all came down at the same time what a fleet we would have.
Its really good fun with close racing and a laugh off the water especially when i fall in and go for a swim!.... i have heard some say we take Saturday racing seriously and whilst that's true it does not have to be over powering for anyone as there is such a wide standard of ability and that's why we ensure in the Laser fleet we look after each other
So PLEASE get down here and see what you are missing...... and when you do please come and give me a shout!!! preferable before the start of the race.
